How to Redirect your Website in cPanel?

You can easily redirect your website in cPanel in one of the following ways. Before proceeding to steps first login to your cPanel account.

#1. By editing .htaccess file

  • Get inside File Manager section and then go to domain directory.
  • In the domain directory, find .htaccess file. If you did not find the file then check the tutorial.
  • Right click over the file and then click over Edit option.
  • Copy and paste the given code.
redirect 301 / http://www.newURL.com
  • Click over Save Changes to update the changes.

#2. Redirect via cPanel

  • Scroll down to Domains Section and Click on Redirects Feature.
  • On the next page, enter the credentials and Add.
